Hello, this is JYP Entertainment.
We are here to share news that both Yubin and Hyelim contracts have expired as of January 25, 2020.
We have been in discussions in the months following up to the expirations and have come to the decision with both of them not to renew their contracts.
Yubin and Hyelim joined the Wonder Girls in 2007 and 2010 respectively.
Yubin, who has been with us for 13 years, renewed her contract with us twice, the first back in 2014 and a second time in 2017.
Hyelim renewed her contract in 2017 with us.
Through Wonder Girls, the girls were able to be the first to face the American market with K-Pop, and also became the first Korean group to chart on Billboard's Hot 100 with "Nobody".
Wonder Girls will be remembered as a group that helped create a path for artists in K-pop to take on and challenge the markets overseas and we are grateful to have worked with them.
The two have been part of creating and improving what is the JYP image today.
We kindly ask to share your support with both Yubin and Hyelim with their new futures ahead of them as we will continue cheering for them too.
